CIRCL announces its 3 first MISP events in 2017 in Valencia and Luxembourg

MISP first Hackathon 2016 in Luxembourg

In Valencia

An introductory MISP training will be organized on January 25th, during the 50th TF-CSIRT meeting and the FIRST Regional Symposium for Europe. This event takes place in Valencia and will bring together a wide variety of security and incident response teams including especially product security teams from the government, commercial, and academic sectors. The exact agenda is as follows:

  • From 09:00 until 12:30: Introduction to MISP and information sharing. MISP user perspective (demo) from MISP usage to viper. MISP administration.

  • From 13:30 until 16:00: Contributing to MISP taxonomies, warning lists, galaxy and modules. Using and abusing MISP API, PyMISP. MISP Future. More information about this event can be found here: https://www.first.org/events/symposium/valencia2017/program

Locally in Luxembourg

In Luxembourg on February 7th, a MISP training will take place from 10:00 until 16:00 at the Novotel Centre Luxembourg. To register: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/misp-training-tickets-30484201066

The day after the training, on February 8th, the CIRCL team will organize a Hackathon (onsite or online) focusing essentially on the MISP platform and its components. Developers can chose to work from different angles and topics: * Modules * Documentation like misp-book * Interface user experience API * Taxonomies and classification * Threat actor classification described in MISP galaxy * Security code reviews or many more.
